The auction for “C” block wireless airwaves (used by TV broadcasters) in the 700-megahertz spectrum is finally over.
Verizon Wireless is guessed to have won the auction but the winners are still being kept secret.
Lots of people don’t like Verizon but I’ve had cellular service with them since high school and they’ve always been great for me. I know have 4 phone lines and “unlimited” broadband with them. They’ve always done well and taken care of me so I hope if they did win the auction that they come up with some really good services and make them cheap! lol, like Verizon is going to do that.
The auction apparently ended at $19.59 billion!
