Morning Twitter Link Roundup

typographySo, the last few days hasn’t led to hardly any really good links so I didn’t do a roundup. Sorry! Here’s some good links for today though. :-)

Wishing there was a socially acceptable way to buy rum for cakes – This is from a blog called “Stuff Christians Like” and although I call myself a Christian, I think I call Christians hypocrites more. Comments to blog poster: You’re ingesting rum, a hard liquor. Regardless of it’s form, you’re ingesting it. If it’s against your faith and you’re trying to bend the rules, you’re a hypocrite. You can’t bend the rules of your faith and think it’s magically okay now.

Safeguarding Your Mac With Undercover - I was looking for something like this awhile back and didn’t really take the time to find a good solution. Thanks AppStorm!

The Power of Typography in Design

Web Design is Not Just Graphic Design for the Web – I know lots of people who think they’re the same thing. I thought this was a great post since I came from a print design background.

Leave your ego at the gym door – I love working out and at one point I was even training for a bodybuilding competition. This article talks about some of the stuff that drives me nuts when I go to the gym. Although, sometimes people grunt because they’re just lifting heavy weight, I know I did sometimes.

4 Principals of Good Design for Websites – Some really great tips and quite a few great examples.

A 20 Minute Intro to Typography Basics – Great little article on the basics. Typography can make or break a design so it’s well worth learning.

24 JavaScript Best Practices for Beginners – I’m still a JavaScript beginner so I thought this was a great article. Seems like I’ll be a beginner forever!

Well, that’s it for today. Unfortunately I haven’t been coming across very many interesting links so if you find something interesting that you would like me to share tweet me @stupidsucks :-D
