Looking Back on the Last Few Years 19-22

pm_imagejpeg_7I personally believe it’s important to take a step back occasionally and take a look at what you’ve done with the last few years of your life and if you’re headed in the right direction. Today I was looking back at my experiences starting out in the freelance world and decided to look back a bit farther and evaluate.

Overall, I am very happy with my accomplishments over the last few years and I feel like I’m really heading in the right direction. It’s been a rocky road and I’ve had to work incredibly hard to achieve some of this but it’s been worth every tear and drop of sweat.

In the last 4 years (from age 19-22) this is what I’ve done. read more…

Visit to Las Vegas, Photos at Red Rock

Awhile ago Audrey and I took a trip down to Las Vegas, Nevada so she could visit UNLV (potential grad school). The second day we were there I was invided to go hiking with her and a group from UNLV to Red Rock. It was fun, warm and there were lots of great views. I love the outdoors! Visit to Las Vegas, Photos on the Strip

Awhile ago Audrey and I took a trip down to Las Vegas, Nevada so she could visit UNLV (potential grad school). While she was out with the group from the school I thought I would go take a walk down the strip. I snapped a few pics and here they are. Click the read more link to view the slideshow. read more…

Broken leg 3 years ago

So 3 years ago I was in a motorcycle accident that resulted in a smashed up lower right leg. My tibia and fibula were broken in half and shoved through the front of my leg into an X. My foot was sliced up fairly good too.

Overall though, I’d say I was extremely fortunate and believe the only reason I’m alive is because God. I smashed into the front right of a pickup truck at over 100mph. Being young and reckless is extremely expensive! I’m glad I’m not any more.

Anyway, here are a few pics!

I still have the titanium rod and screws in my leg and my fibula is still broken and not lined up (it never healed). The picture of my legs was when I finally got back to walking. As you can tell the broken one is super skinny. Of course I was very skinny overall because I lost a lot of weight.

I’m back to normal and very active! :-)

Moscow mountain pictures, my adventure

So yesterday I said I would write a post today. It’s 11:30pm…it’s still TODAY! Ok, so what if I’m 30 minutes from missing the mark…ok, I fail. lol

Anyway, when I had taken a bike ride up Moscow mountain, I snapped a few pictures with my phone. So I figured I would give the gallery feature in WordPress a go and see how it turns out.

The first picture in the gallery is a picture from about 3/4 the way up Moscow mountain road. It’s a gorgeous view from up there. Unfortunately the trees block a lot of the view from the cheap camera in my phone but in person it’s pretty neat.

Second is me when I was down at the bottom in front of the information sign…trying to look like I’m not tired. A minute later I scarfed down a power bar and a ton of water.

The third is the road I had just ridden up, which wasn’t bad (especially compared to what was yet to come).

Then there’s me again, sticking my tongue out at whoever was going to see the picture.

The info. sign/board followed by two pictures of the mountain from the road I rode up to the mountain.

The next ride up I will take a camera and find the very top and an open spot so I can get some great pictures. I also need to get some pictures of my mountain bike.

Anyway, this post is really blah blah so sorry. I should have more time Thursday. Tomorrow is my 1 1/2 yr day with my girlfriend and since she is busy with college and I’m busy with work we haven’t had time to go out for around 2 weeks or something. So I’ll see ya Thursday! Oh, maybe I’ll remember to take pictures tomorrow and I can post those!

Motorcycle Bird Collision

So a few years back I used to ride a Yamaha FZR-600R, which was a great first bike. Anyway, I was just thinking back today about how great riding it was and remembered that I used to attach a camera to the bike and record while I rode.

Well, one day I was riding out on one of my favorite roads (Dashpoint in Federal Way, WA) and hit a bird. The crazy thing is that the bird got stuck right in front of the camera! Anyway, a long time ago I put it on YouTube and thought I would share it here as well.

Before you watch the video, you should know the bird was obviously killed and although it isn’t hard for me to watch, it may be hard for you to watch if you don’t have the stomach for a little bird guts.

If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe.

Now if only I had been recording when I was in my motorcycle accident. That would have been one heck of a video! Anyway, just sharing a little piece of me back in the day! :-)
