Wow, this morning I had a few things to fix up for work so I’m doing my thing on the computer and somewhere at the end of all that, I end up at my blog. I was checking all the old “advertising” I have on here and decided something needed to be done about it.
I really should just get rid of the advertisements because I don’t even get anything from them and they really are just an eyesore. The only problem is that that space doesn’t really have a purpose other than putting up a few ads. So, I got the ads swapped out for some amazon stuff, since I love shopping there.
Anyway, as I’m going through the CSS when I originally modified the theme, I am thinking to myself, “Uhh, what were you thinking?”. I have come a long way since I put up this theme in terms of web design at least. But, I’m looking at the blog and realising that it is pretty out dated. There are little CSS problems here and there that I don’t care to fix and something fresh would be refreshing.
So, I’ve decided to do a complete overhaul of Stupid Sucks. It will probably take awhile because I don’t seem to have a whole lot of free time and I am trying to get my portfolio site finished up. But, I think now is a good time to start thinking about layout, colors, logos, etc.
Anyway, that’s today’s announcement. If you have suggestions or ideas, post a comment, I’d love to hear about it.
So yesterday I said I would write a post today. It’s 11:30pm…it’s still TODAY! Ok, so what if I’m 30 minutes from missing the mark…ok, I fail. lol
Anyway, when I had taken a bike ride up Moscow mountain, I snapped a few pictures with my phone. So I figured I would give the gallery feature in WordPress a go and see how it turns out.
The first picture in the gallery is a picture from about 3/4 the way up Moscow mountain road. It’s a gorgeous view from up there. Unfortunately the trees block a lot of the view from the cheap camera in my phone but in person it’s pretty neat.
Second is me when I was down at the bottom in front of the information sign…trying to look like I’m not tired. A minute later I scarfed down a power bar and a ton of water.
The third is the road I had just ridden up, which wasn’t bad (especially compared to what was yet to come).
Then there’s me again, sticking my tongue out at whoever was going to see the picture.
The info. sign/board followed by two pictures of the mountain from the road I rode up to the mountain.
The next ride up I will take a camera and find the very top and an open spot so I can get some great pictures. I also need to get some pictures of my mountain bike.
Anyway, this post is really blah blah so sorry. I should have more time Thursday. Tomorrow is my 1 1/2 yr day with my girlfriend and since she is busy with college and I’m busy with work we haven’t had time to go out for around 2 weeks or something. So I’ll see ya Thursday! Oh, maybe I’ll remember to take pictures tomorrow and I can post those!
Ok, I haven’t blogged in over a month and I feel like crap about it but it is what it is. When you’re busy and trying to balance work and play to keep from going insane, things get skipped. Anyway, I have some cool updates with pictures and such coming soon.
I bought a mountain bike and now all I want to do is ride ride ride! In the spare time I have I have been riding from my apartment to moscow mountain and up the mountain (ok, only twice so far). Last saturday I completed a round trip of a little more than 30 miles. From my apartment to Moscow mountain, then up moscow mountain to four corners, then through some short trail that is unknown thus far to me, then through the two loops of the Triple Crown trail, then back to four corners, then back home. Riding up that mountain on a mountain bike is quite the leg workout but well worth the work for the trail riding. I will post pictures tomorrow.
Work has been going pretty good and I think being a work at home freelancer is finally really sinking in. It should have been done two months ago (or more) but I think I will finally be able to finish up my portfolio in the next week or two depending on work. Which then will mean I can get out in Moscow and see who else I can startup some projects for! Very exciting!
Uhh, lets see, what else. I setup Skype more in depth as I am the web administrator for ReadSam.com, I will be working with all the clients who are getting online advertising. My cell phone number is from the seattle area so people don’t want to call it for starters and it uses my precious and expensive minutes with verizon. So I setup a San Antonio, TX phone number for super cheap. Now I have a work number without the need for another phone. Fun, fun.
If you play Battlefield 2142 on a Mac, I have compiled a handful of fixes for the poorly supported game. The biggest problem seems to be PunkBuster as it doesn’t update the game properly and has to be done manually. I plan on posting (hopefully tomorrow) a quick article on doing that as well as fixing a few other things to get the game running properly. And for those who are Mac haters, it plays fine on an iMac. No, it’s not super gaming rig but it’s first role is a work rig, second role is movies/music/entertainment and third is gaming. It handles all exceptionally well. Better than any other system I’ve ever owned and I grew up on Windows.
Anyway, that’s all for tonight folks. Tomorrow I should be posting one or two additional blogs with some pictures of recent adventures and some informational stuff for Battlefield 2142. Bye bye!
Holy smoking failure! The last time I blogged was May 17th! Can you believe that?!
Although we fail horribly, we get back up and give it another go! So that’s what I’ll be doing and aiming to post once per day or at least one post per two days on the busy weeks.
While I was away, lots of interesting stuff was discovered and soon I think I might give video blogging a shot. Although the thought of my face available via video to the rest of the world is a little creepy…
I think I would also like to setup a photo/video gallery of pictures I take, funny stuff I find, etc. That will give me something more to do than just writing….because I am kinda sucky at writing, lol.
Anyway, I’m back!
I have done plenty of stupid things in my life. In fact, I have had a couple people tell me I should write a book about the stupid events in my life…
I haven’t really been able to post much lately and I have been having trouble not only coming up with good things to write about but also writing about those things once I’ve come up with them. One thing that’s easy for me is my own personal stupidity!
I have made fun of enough other people at WinCo or WalMart that I think it’s time I share stories about myself.
So what stories are on their way?
Plus I am going to try to get my domain portfolio posted as well as get a workout/diet setup which I will share. Stay tuned!

Well, today has been both good and bad. I’ll start with the bad…
My girlfriend wanted to go outside since today was a beautiful 78 degrees. I had some work that could be done on a laptop so I grabbed the that and we headed out. Now, the winter up here was much worse than where I used to live and a hard winter even for the area, so I was clothed much more than usual during that time.
Today was the first day since last summer that I have gone out to really enjoy the delicious sun. I should also mention that I’m a redhead…a lucky leprechaun I am! That means I’m white, like casper the ghost white.
So needless to say, my arms and face are now slightly red and I was only in the sun for about an hour!
Well, I can handle the slight burn so the day went on. A few hours later I headed to the gym, which was great as always…except my lower calf cramped in my left leg causing all my toes to curl up. It wasn’t really painful, but very uncomfortable and a big sign that I have not been drinking enough water.
I had to push my toes against a metal bar to get them to uncurl and wait about 5-10minutes before I could finish my workout. The workout was still a pretty good one though.
So, now for the good!
It was payday today! Any day that involves getting money is usually a good day. To make the day better, I worked out arms today and it went pretty well. I measured in at 16″ around the biceps, 13.5″ forearms…which is down from 17 1/4″ biceps and 14 1/4″ forearms from 7 months ago but at least it’s going back in the right direction.
Today was gorgeous after a few days of cloudy gloom and the sun almost always means good for the day.
I also managed to get the majority of my portfolio more organized and parked at Sedo so hopefully that will pay off a little more. Plus I got some other good work done on a project I am currently working on for a magazine down in Texas.
Lastly, I found some great new music today thanks to a good friend down in Boise. 10 Years came out with a new album called Division. New music always makes for a much better day.
So, now I need to get some other work done and work on getting some other posts written since I’ve been a total slacker for this blog! Sorry!
