So yesterday I said I would write a post today. It’s 11:30pm…it’s still TODAY! Ok, so what if I’m 30 minutes from missing the mark…ok, I fail. lol
Anyway, when I had taken a bike ride up Moscow mountain, I snapped a few pictures with my phone. So I figured I would give the gallery feature in WordPress a go and see how it turns out.
The first picture in the gallery is a picture from about 3/4 the way up Moscow mountain road. It’s a gorgeous view from up there. Unfortunately the trees block a lot of the view from the cheap camera in my phone but in person it’s pretty neat.
Second is me when I was down at the bottom in front of the information sign…trying to look like I’m not tired. A minute later I scarfed down a power bar and a ton of water.
The third is the road I had just ridden up, which wasn’t bad (especially compared to what was yet to come).
Then there’s me again, sticking my tongue out at whoever was going to see the picture.
The info. sign/board followed by two pictures of the mountain from the road I rode up to the mountain.
The next ride up I will take a camera and find the very top and an open spot so I can get some great pictures. I also need to get some pictures of my mountain bike.
Anyway, this post is really blah blah so sorry. I should have more time Thursday. Tomorrow is my 1 1/2 yr day with my girlfriend and since she is busy with college and I’m busy with work we haven’t had time to go out for around 2 weeks or something. So I’ll see ya Thursday! Oh, maybe I’ll remember to take pictures tomorrow and I can post those!
So a few years back I used to ride a Yamaha FZR-600R, which was a great first bike. Anyway, I was just thinking back today about how great riding it was and remembered that I used to attach a camera to the bike and record while I rode.
Well, one day I was riding out on one of my favorite roads (Dashpoint in Federal Way, WA) and hit a bird. The crazy thing is that the bird got stuck right in front of the camera! Anyway, a long time ago I put it on YouTube and thought I would share it here as well.
Before you watch the video, you should know the bird was obviously killed and although it isn’t hard for me to watch, it may be hard for you to watch if you don’t have the stomach for a little bird guts.
Now if only I had been recording when I was in my motorcycle accident. That would have been one heck of a video! Anyway, just sharing a little piece of me back in the day!
I’m still amazed at how many people out there despise Apple and their products. The most common thing I hear now is, “It has the same hardware as my computer (Windows/PC), it just costs $1k more.”, which absolutely drives me nuts.
Apple might use the same processor, hard drive, graphics card, etc. but they used the components better than any other computer manufacturer for the price. What gives Apple the edge over the competition? Their operating system and their quality casing designs.
OSX is the best operating system I have ever used. I don’t even have Leopard yet but people love it so far and it blows Vista and XP out of the water (so does Tiger).
Apple is a name that is gaining popularity very quickly. So many friends & family are making the switch and wondering why they hadn’t done so earlier. But this is exactly what Apple users have been saying for awhile now. Switch, it’s better.
Before you think about posting a comment flaming me Mr. Windows user, I DO use both platforms (well, I run XP within OSX
). If you want to be a gamer, either buy a console or get Windows (which can also run on Mac). Now you may flame…
Anyway, the purpose of this post was because while perusing Gizmodo I saw that Apple is now the #3 U.S. computer manufacturer (no surprise). Who is their competition? Dell and HP. Dell is sitting at almost 32% of the market, HP with just over 25%. Then there’s Apple… Apple is sitting at 8.5%.
They have a long ways to go but I don’t think it will take all that long. Apple has had a 38% growth in Mac sales and it’ll continue to grow.
So for all you Apple haters out there! Beware, the day of the Apple is coming!
Until this last weekend I had been away for awhile and didn’t post anything. While I was away I had come across several sites I took note of whether I would be able to use it later or someone I knew. So here are some of the sites!
Often times I am in desperate need of inspiration, CSS help, complimentary colors and other ideas. I ran across the following websites that I found helpful or inspirational.
Before I had installed Parallels on my iMac I needed a way to test the dreaded Internet Explorer. What I was doing for awhile was using an old laptop running Windows XP. The laptop was slow to say the least and didn’t have wireless or a working battery. Then I cam across http://www.CrossBrowserTesting.com
If you need a way to test your website on multiple platforms, browsers, etc. CrossBrowserTesting is a great solution.
If you need tools, scripts, or other web solutions I found these websites to be really helpful:

Anyway, hopefully something here will help you find what you’re looking for or even something new that you weren’t looking for! ![]()
Apparently the Federal Government (aka the big stupid ass) is halting large-scale solar power projects for two years. (NYT) Why?
They want to make sure it isn’t hurting the environment or the animals. Oh, they are so thoughtful and caring. Either that or greedy bastards that want to delay alternative energy sources even longer. I wonder if they ever thought about the environment or the animals before they started using fossil fuels…yeah right!
Meanwhile the search for oil continues even if it means more harm to the environment, animals and the air we breath. Brilliant, just brilliant. ![]()
Having worked at newspapers I have experienced countless frustrations when dealing with sales people.
I came across this video that was hilarious and yet so true. You can substitute other jobs in place of the web dude as well.
Sometimes I seriously wonder about the sanity of sales people (and if they have a soul). Many people argue that sales is a hard job and that you have to be very good at it to succeed. My 2 cents is that sales people are not good at what they do, they are just the only people left who are willing to do it. Everyone else was smart enough to go get better jobs.
If you’re a sales person, try not to take offense to that. It’s just because my experiences with sales people have been worse than the scenario in this video. This is a prime example of why Stupid Sucks!
