Morning Twitter Link Roundup

typographySo, the last few days hasn’t led to hardly any really good links so I didn’t do a roundup. Sorry! Here’s some good links for today though. :-)

Wishing there was a socially acceptable way to buy rum for cakes – This is from a blog called “Stuff Christians Like” and although I call myself a Christian, I think I call Christians hypocrites more. Comments to blog poster: You’re ingesting rum, a hard liquor. Regardless of it’s form, you’re ingesting it. If it’s against your faith and you’re trying to bend the rules, you’re a hypocrite. You can’t bend the rules of your faith and think it’s magically okay now.

Safeguarding Your Mac With Undercover - I was looking for something like this awhile back and didn’t really take the time to find a good solution. Thanks AppStorm!

Saving on Energy Costs With New Light Bulbs

cflI am a nerd. Yes, saving on energy costs by replacing our current, old light bulbs with new ones is facinating to me. I’d like to share this exciting info. that I’ve been taking for granted for so long.

You know those curly, energy efficient light bulbs that your energy company talks about all that time? They’re CFL lights and they save a lot of energy, reduce heat, etc. When I moved into my new apartment there were four bulbs already burned out so I saw this as an opportunity to get them replaced and save a little energy. I started thinking about it though and realized what I was taking for granted. read more…
