Thinking BrainGrowing up I was always told that your family, friends, elders, etc. are there to help. It was just a matter of asking someone to help. I was such an independent individual that I wouldn’t ask anyone for help, even if that meant failing. Yes, I was stubborn and determined to do it myself.

Once I had gotten to the point where I simply couldn’t do it myself, I would finally ask for help. I’m not exactly sure what drove me to behave that way but it sure has paid off.

One of my biggest frustrations in life is people who don’t think for themselves. Most people argue that it’s faster to just ask someone else and get the answer, but is that the most beneficial? Not usually.

Please! For the love of God people! Put on those thinking caps and use the help menu! Even better, you could do what I usually do if the help menu just won’t cut it (which it quite often doesn’t)…. GOOGLE IT! It takes a split second to open a new tab or window in your browser and run a quick search in Google for your problem or inquiry.

Ok, maybe not that fast for some people but i’m a bit of a nerd so I have a browser open essentially at all times. If I don’t then upon opening my browser Google is my home page or I have a Google search-bar readily available. The internet is your connection to information (thus the nickname information superhighway).

You know when you’re at work and nobody is around? Then you run into a problem? What do you do? You don’t just go home or take a break until someone comes back who can fix it for you (ok maybe some of you do…slackers!). You fix it yourself. So what’s the difference when there are people there? It’s because you’re too lazy to figure it out for yourself! :???:

Ok, ok, i’ll stop ragging on all those people out there that take the easy path at every opportunity they get. So what are some ways you can do the thinking yourself?

Here are 7 websites to help you use that brain just a little more efficiently:

  • Google.com, Yahoo.com, or msn.com (I prefer Google)
  • Wikipedia.org
  • dictionary.com & thesaurus.com
  • webmd.com

Maybe you’re not quite sure how to use Google to its maximum, check this out

When you’re in need of information, help, inspiration, etc., you have to stop relying on others to give you the answer or do it for you. Eventually those people are going to think you’re stupid, get sick of helping you, or just figure out that you’re just plain lazy! Stupid sucks people, so don’t be!

Sallie Mae SUCKS!

Monday
Feb 25,2008

Ok seriously Sallie Mae, do you think i’m going to manage coming up with $400 over the next hour? Every hour i’m getting called and harassed by you people. No, I can’t borrow from my grandparents, what the hell is wrong with you? No, i’m not going to borrow the money from my friends, siblings, parents, aunts or uncles, or anyone else. Being rude and yelling at me isn’t going to make me pay you any faster nor will it make money come flowing out my ass!

So what the hell is wrong with Sallie Mae? These people call me literally like 20 times  a day telling me that if I don’t pay them that they will report me to credit places and ruin my credit. LOL  I was in a motorcycle accident that incurred thousands of dollars of medical bills, etc. My credit is already ruined because I couldn’t afford to even pay those back fast enough!

I don’t think any professional company should actually yell at people or hang up on them. I am the customer and I am always right (at least be polite is what I mean). I couldn’t believe how these people treated me. If you work at Sallie Mae and you are reading this, pray that you never meet me in a dark alley or secluded area. The treatment i’ve gotten has been ridiculous.  I maintained a polite tone of voice several times only to pull the phone from my ear from them getting so frustrated with me because I simply don’t make enough per month to afford my bills AND their $400 per month payments.

Ok, end of rant….

Sallie Mae is ridiculously stupid, not only their employees but the way they run their business.
