Stupid Sucks!

Well, as you can tell I’ve got a new theme design going but it’s not quite finished. I don’t have time to finish it up right now so I’ve decided to put it online and finish the bits and pieces when I do have time. Lots more features to come to bear with me! Thanks

It’s been awhile since my last post and a lot has been going on in the mean time. The last template I posted was Archestratos and I have since completed 3 new templates.

The first is “oogle“. Yes, it is essentially an Apple look-alike template as people seem to really like it. It’s a great layout and really simple design that works for business or personal use. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on this template but Apple is the one’s to thank for the design.

Well, as you probably know, I have been building a few themes for ThemeForest.net to earn a little passive income on the side. My most recent addition is Archestratos (screenshot to the right).

Archestratos is currently setup to look more like a restaurant style theme but can really be used for much more. Overall the theme is elegant yet versatile. The layout is fixed width, clean and easy to use, making it ideal for anyone looking for this style of theme.

Today I’m happy to announce another theme completion!

FreshBiz is a very simple, clean and effective template. It is extremely customizable and easy to use. It could easily be used for business or personal websites. It even includes a very nice logo which is worth the cost of the theme by itself.

This theme ended up taking longer in production that I liked. Sometimes that happens I suppose. This particular theme was also a two sided project. The theme will be used for a client’s website as well as being sold on ThemeForest.net.

My theme production time usually takes 2-3 days depending on complexity, features, etc. This theme should have only taken 2 days but instead was spread over more than a week totaling nearly 4 days of actual working time. That’s a lot! read more…

I’m a freelance designer and web developer. I work at home and love every second of it. When I tell people what I do they always say, “Oh cool, I bet it’s nice to have the freedom of working at home”. Or at least they say something similar to that.

As great as it is to work at home, it’s not easy by any means. You are your own boss but being your own boss just means you have all the responsibilities of a normal company boss and then some. One of the things I struggle with is billing. That’s where FreshBooks comes into play. read more…
