One of my pet peeves is drivers texting and talking on their cell phones while driving. I’ve ridden with friends or family whose been in near accidents because they absolutely must answer their phone or because they’re on their phone and not concentrating on operating their large moving death trap.

Is it really that hard to pick up a hands free device or just wait until you get to your destination? So to all my friends, family and visitors–get off your damn cell phones while driving! Why? Because this could be you.

Today I have the pleasure of presenting to you a prime example of why stupidity sucks. I’m sure you’ve all heard of this wonderful company, Microsoft.

Microsoft is the brilliant company that produced Internet Explorer, the nightmare of developers everywhere. They recently released Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) into the wild, a much improved browser from the utter crap they’ve previously produced and yet a total joke amongst other browser contenders.

They’ve really been pushing IE8 but their latest circus show really takes the cake in terms of complete stupidity – Microsoft’s Browser comparison chart

How does a homeless person afford a blackberry or even yet cell phone service Is it also government funded? Oh yeah, that is why you and I are working!

I’m all for helping people who need help but I’m not for helping people who are just freeloaders. Also, I think it’s great to see people like Michelle Obama helping people like this but I can’t help but think that she could be using her position for much more good than this.

Son of a bitch! (pardon my language) So it’s some big deal that Oprah is now on Twitter. I mean, people are acting like Jesus just showed up on the scene or something. You know what this means for Twitter and the real users of Twitter? A mass takeover by the technology illiterate soccer mom clan.

No offense, I hear Oprah is pretty cool beans and all that but it’s people like her that are evolving Twitter into some sort of popularity beast focused on who’s following who and how many followers you have. Ok, I’d say I’m WAAYYYYY past due for a rant about stupid people. I mean, that was the original intention of this blog. Today’s stupid topic? Driving… specifically snow drivers.

It’s not that hard to drive in snow. It’s not that hard to be a courteous, responsible and safe driver either. Especially in these kind of conditions. However, in a town filled with college students, you would expect lots of bad drivers everywhere… and, there are. Except that most of the college students have left for x-mas break. read more…

If you haven’t heard already, a Wal-Mart employee was trampled to DEATH this morning in NY. The customers literally broke the doors down and trampled the employee. Another woman was knocked down and later had a miscarriage.

Many people knew the employee had been killed and they just wanted to keep shopping. It makes me sick that people like this are out there in such large numbers. They should each be charged with the murder of both this employee and the miscarriage. read more…

I’m still amazed at how many people out there despise Apple and their products. The most common thing I hear now is, “It has the same hardware as my computer (Windows/PC), it just costs $1k more.”, which absolutely drives me nuts.

Apple might use the same processor, hard drive, graphics card, etc. but they used the components better than any other computer manufacturer for the price. What gives Apple the edge over the competition? Their operating system and their quality casing designs. read more…

Apparently the Federal Government (aka the big stupid ass) is halting large-scale solar power projects for two years. (NYT) Why?

They want to make sure it isn’t hurting the environment or the animals. Oh, they are so thoughtful and caring. Either that or greedy bastards that want to delay alternative energy sources even longer. I wonder if they ever thought about the environment or the animals before they started using fossil fuels…yeah right!

Meanwhile the search for oil continues even if it means more harm to the environment, animals and the air we breath. Brilliant, just brilliant.

Having worked at newspapers I have experienced countless frustrations when dealing with sales people. I came across this video that was hilarious and yet so true. You can substitute other jobs in place of the web dude as well.

Sometimes I seriously wonder about the sanity of sales people (and if they have a soul). Many people argue that sales is a hard job and that you have to be very good at it to succeed. My 2 cents is that sales people are not good at what they do, they are just the only people left who are willing to do it. Everyone else was smart enough to go get better jobs. read more…
